US President Donald Trump used harsh language regarding Cuba and Mexico in his speech at the 81st United Nations General Assembly held in New York.
Trump accused the Cuban administration of acting in concert with "left-wing and communist networks." Citing US Department of State reports, Trump alleged that Cuba is collaborating with the Communist Party USA and ANTIFA.
Communism will never come to the US, but freedom will come to Cuba. Security will come to Mexico.
As Trump uttered these words, the Cuban delegation present in the UN General Assembly hall left the hall. The speech drew attention regarding the US administration's messages toward Latin America.
At the beginning of his speech, Trump stated, "The US is back and we are stronger than ever." Attacking Iran as well, Trump accused the Tehran administration of "refusing to stop terrorism" and attempting to acquire nuclear weapons.
In his speech, the US President also touched upon the possibility of an agreement with Iran following the midterm elections in the US. Trump's statements were evaluated as new messages regarding Washington's foreign policy agenda at the General Assembly session.
