Trump: We are talking to Iran, if we cannot reach a deal, bad things will likely happen

While noting that there are "very large" ships heading toward Iran, Trump also stated that talks with officials from that country are ongoing.

"I would like to reach a deal with Iran. We are currently talking to Iran. If we can reach a deal, that would be very good; if we cannot, bad things will likely happen," Trump said, signaling that he is open to the diplomatic process.

When asked what might happen if the process regarding Iran takes a negative turn, Trump replied, "It would be foolish of me to tell you that," pointing out that his talks with Iran are continuing.

"I think we are doing very well with Ukraine and Russia"

Trump also emphasized that they are hopeful regarding the Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations and that the talks are going well.

Making a positive assessment regarding the possibility of a peace deal, Trump said, "I think we are doing very well with Ukraine and Russia. I am saying this for the first time; I think we are doing well right now, maybe we will get good news soon."

Trump also reiterated once again that he had requested Russian President Vladimir Putin "not to strike Ukraine for a week," citing the extreme cold weather in both countries, and that Putin had accepted this request.
