Trump's election promise: He will deport Prince Harry

In an interview with the British news channel GB News, Trump implied that if he is elected president, Prince Harry could face the threat of deportation from the US "if it is determined that he lied about his drug use on his visa application."

Trump, who is widely expected to enter the presidential election in November as the Republican Party's presidential nominee, answered the question of whether Prince Harry would be shown any special treatment by saying, "No. We'll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied, they'll have to take appropriate action."

Trump did not give a clear answer to the question of whether "appropriate action" meant deportation.

APPLICATIONS FROM DRUG USERS CAN BE REJECTED

Trump, who has spoken about Prince Harry before, had warned that if he is re-elected in 2024, Prince Harry would be "on his own" following his "unforgivable" betrayal of Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Harry mentioned that he had used certain drugs in the past in his book titled "Spare," which was published on January 10, 2023.

Following this admission in the book, the American think tank Heritage Foundation filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) last year, requesting access to Prince Harry's immigration records.

For some visa applications to enter the US, applicants are required to answer questions regarding whether they use drugs. Applications from those who use drugs can be rejected.
