Trump's Special Envoy Witkoff: We will announce the normalization of relations with Israel

The U.S. has announced that one more country has joined the Abraham Accords, which were signed to normalize relations between Arab and Muslim countries and Israel.

U.S. President Donald Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, stated at the America Business Forum held in Miami, Florida, "This evening, we will announce that one more country has joined the Abraham Accords and that relations with Israel are normalizing," though he did not disclose which country would be joining the agreement.

Reports in the U.S. press suggested that the country in question could be Kazakhstan or Azerbaijan. Since both Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan already have diplomatic relations with Israel, the participation of either country in the agreement would represent a symbolic step.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan signed the Abraham Accords, which were brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump during his first term in 2020.
