Turabi Fırat, named in the Epstein file: 'I have no personal friendship'

Turabi Fırat, named in the Epstein file: 'I have no personal friendship'

New details continue to emerge regarding the child abuse and sex trafficking network established by US billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

The names of two Turkish citizens, Banu Küçükköylü and Turabi Fırat, were included in the 943-page indictment regarding Epstein.

It was alleged that both individuals had boarded Epstein's plane.

It is claimed that Turabi Fırat is a food and beverage manager at a hotel in the US state of Florida and that he boarded Epstein's plane for business purposes.

SETTLED IN FLORIDA 25 YEARS AGO

According to the report by Ali Kemal Erdem from Patronlar Dünyası, Fırat, originally from Muş, settled in the West Palm Beach district of Florida 25 years ago after working as a waiter on ships for many years.

Fırat, who started working at a luxury hotel there, still resides in the area.

Turabi Fırat learned that his name was in the file yesterday when his brother-in-law, who read the news in Germany, called him. Fırat said he was curious about why his name was included in the file and that he was trying to find out.

'HIS FACE DOES NOT LOOK UNFAMILIAR'

Responding to questions about the allegations, Fırat stated that he did not know Epstein personally and said the following:

"I work as a waiter at The Breakers Hotel, where the wealthy come. In the evenings, I also work at a restaurant called Club Colette, which serves only members. Wealthy people come there too.

For this reason, I do not know Epstein, but his face does not look unfamiliar. Because if he came to the places where I am, I must have served him. The faces of all the people who come to the island do not look unfamiliar. However, I have no personal friendship with someone like Epstein. Because we are at different levels. He is a billionaire. He would not engage with us."

'I DID NOT BOARD EPSTEIN'S PLANE, NOR DID I GO TO HIS ISLAND'

Stating that he did not go to Little Saint James Island, known as Epstein's island, Fırat said, "Years ago, in 2019, my German wife and I went to a tourist island called Exuma for a trip. However, we went on a shuttle-like plane with 5-6 other people like us inside. We did not go on a luxury plane like Epstein's. We did not go to Epstein's island.

If the island mentioned is Exuma island, it was a crowded place, everyone was there. Certain people go to Epstein's island. Presidents and wealthy people probably go to that island. I have no chance of being invited to that island. I did not go as a waiter either, because they probably employ their own special staff they know," he said.

Fırat also stated that he does not personally know Prince Andrew, who is also named in the indictment.

Stating that he does not know Banu Küçüköylü, who is named in the indictment, Fırat said, "There was a Banu at the hotel where I worked, but it is not the same person. Because the Banu I know is young. However, the person mentioned in the news is currently in her 50s."
