Turkish is among the world's most difficult languages

Language learning experts hold varying views on the most difficult languages to acquire globally. While Mandarin ranks first on some lists due to its tonal structure and complex character system, Arabic stands out for its right-to-left writing and complex alphabet structure.

Languages such as Japanese, Georgian, Hungarian, and Navajo are also among these challenging languages.

MANDARIN AND ARABIC

Although Mandarin is the most widely spoken language with over a billion speakers, it is considered a difficult language to learn due to its writing system consisting of ideograms and its four tone levels.

Arabic, which has approximately 300 million native speakers, draws attention with the changing forms of its letters depending on context and its right-to-left writing.

OTHER DIFFICULT LANGUAGES

While Japanese challenges learners with its three different alphabet systems and complex characters, Georgian stands out with its curved alphabet and difficult-to-pronounce word structure.

Hungarian and Finnish make learning difficult with their complex case systems and long words.

Korean is found to be confusing due to the complex sound structure behind the Hangul alphabet.

Turkish, on the other hand, is evaluated as a difficult language for foreigners to get used to due to its thick-thin vowel harmony and agglutinative structure.

English, despite its wide speaker base, is not on this list due to its simple conjugation structure. Difficulties in language learning may vary according to personal ability and learning methods; however, these languages are generally accepted as being among those with the most complex structures.
