A bomb attack targeting aid workers has been carried out in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

Rıdvan Yılmaz, a representative of the Safa Foundation, which conducts aid operations in Somalia, stated in a press release that the explosion occurred during aid work.

Yılmaz said, "We were conducting aid work at a refugee camp, and the explosion occurred while our other vehicle was arriving."

According to information obtained, two aid workers, one of whom was a Turkish citizen, lost their lives and four others were injured as a result of the detonation of a roadside bomb in Mogadishu.

While the investigation into the attack is ongoing, it is suspected that the attack was carried out by the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab.
