According to a report by the official UAE news agency WAM, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met in Abu Dhabi.

The report stated that the two leaders discussed regional developments and their impact on both regional and international security and stability, and that Bin Zayed and Sisi also visited a unit in the UAE where Egyptian fighter jets are stationed.

The report noted that the operational capabilities of the unit in question and efforts to prepare for various challenges were reviewed on-site, but no details were provided regarding the fighter jets deployed in the UAE.

Meanwhile, according to a written statement from the Egyptian Presidency, Sisi reaffirmed "Egypt's solidarity with the UAE in light of current regional conditions" during his visit to Abu Dhabi.

Reiterating Egypt's support for the security and stability of the UAE, Sisi stated that they "reject Iran's attacks on the sovereignty of the UAE."

Sisi stated, "These attacks are a clear violation of the principles of international law and the UN Charter, and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region and the world in general."
