The United Arab Emirates (UAE) official news agency WAM has confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the country on September 27.
According to the report, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Netanyahu. The meeting addressed topics aimed at strengthening and developing relations between the two countries.
Israel's Channel 12 television had previously reported, citing two unnamed sources, that Netanyahu traveled to the UAE in the morning, remained in the country throughout the day, and met with Bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, the newspaper Haaretz had previously claimed that Bin Zayed had warned Netanyahu before October 7. This claim, which sparked controversy in Israel, was denied by Netanyahu.
