The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reached an agreement with Israel to deliver urgent humanitarian aid from the UAE to the Gaza Strip.
As Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip continues, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reached an agreement with Israel to deliver urgent humanitarian aid from the UAE to the Gaza Strip. It was stated that the agreement was reached following a phone call between UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar.
It was stated that the urgent humanitarian aid will meet the food needs of approximately 15 thousand civilians in the Gaza Strip in the first phase, and that the aid will include ensuring the operation of bakeries in Gaza. It was also stated that critical supplies for baby care, in addition to basic necessities, will be provided.
It was reported that during the call, Al Nahyan reaffirmed the importance of delivering humanitarian and medical aid to Palestinians in an urgent, sustainable, safe, and unhindered manner. It was announced that Al Nahyan and Sa'ar also discussed regional and international efforts to restart a humanitarian ceasefire, achieve a ceasefire, and secure the release of hostages.
