UK calls on its citizens to 'leave Lebanon'

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy stated that they discussed the rising tensions in Lebanon during a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and issued a call saying, "My message to British nationals in Lebanon is to leave while commercial options remain available."

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy held a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati. In a statement regarding the call on his social media account, Lammy said, "I spoke with Mikati and expressed my deep concern over the rising tensions and civilian casualties in Lebanon.

We discussed the need for a negotiated solution to restore stability and security along the Blue Line,” he said.

Sending a message to British nationals in Lebanon, Lammy stated, "They should leave the country while commercial options remain available. Tensions are high and the situation could deteriorate rapidly."
