The United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued a new security advisory for its citizens currently in or planning to travel to Turkey. The official statement highlighted the protests held in various cities following the judicial process involving Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

British authorities recommended that citizens avoid areas where potential unrest may occur and obtain information from official sources. The warning advised those traveling to Turkey to plan travel routes away from main roads.

The updated warning text published by the FCDO included the following statements:

Public demonstrations can turn unexpectedly harsh. Security forces may resort to various intervention methods to maintain control. If you see any protests, leave the area immediately. There may be disruptions to public transport systems, so plan alternative routes.

The United Kingdom also issued a separate warning for areas near the Syrian border. Authorities called for people to avoid traveling to areas within 10 kilometers of the border due to the risk of terrorist attacks.

The Foreign Office advised those traveling to check the latest updates on their website.
