Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko stated in a post on her social media account that they have signed a memorandum of understanding with the US side regarding a rare earth elements agreement.
Sviridenko noted that they have made progress in the process of drafting the rare earth elements agreement expected to be signed with the US, stating, "Today, we have taken a step toward a joint economic partnership agreement with the US. Ukraine and the US have signed a memorandum that demonstrates the constructive joint work of our teams and the intention to finalize an agreement that will be to the benefit of both our peoples."
Noting that the agreement they are working on will create opportunities for significant investments, infrastructure modernization, and a mutually beneficial partnership between Ukraine and the US, Sviridenko added, "We are preparing to establish an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine."
Sviridenko stated, "Now, the next steps are the clarification and signing of the agreement text. Then, the approval of the parliaments."
