Ukraine strikes Russian submarine
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has carried out an attack on a Russian Varshavyanka-class submarine located in the Port of Novorossiysk using an unmanned surface vehicle (USV).

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) launched an attack on a Russian Varshavyanka-class submarine at the Port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea coast using an unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) named Sea Baby, it was reported.announcing that the submarine sustained serious damage and was taken out of service.
The SBU, sThe submarine in questionwas used by the Russian army to strikeUkrainian territory andcontainedfour Kalibr cruise missilelaunchers, it stated.
In a statement made by the SBU,itThe statement noted, "A Varshavyanka-class submarine costs approximately 400 million dollars.
When current international sanctions aretaken intoaccount, the construction of a similar submarine could currently cost 500 million dollars. Submarines of this class arealso known as 'Black Holes' due to theirability to absorb sound and remainlargely undetectable bysonar."
