Ukraine to attend NATO summit
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that Ukraine has been invited to the summit to be held in The Hague. While the US commitment to the alliance continues, European countries and Canada are expected to increase their defense spending.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that Ukraine will attend the NATO summit to be held in The Hague, Netherlands, in the coming weeks.
Speaking ahead of the defense ministers' meeting in Brussels, Rutte stated, "We have invited Ukraine to the summit and will share the details of the program soon."

Rutte noted that the US commitment to NATO remains intact. However, he stated that this commitment requires European countries and Canada to significantly increase their defense budgets. Rutte added that the US is "fully committed" to NATO's collective defense pledge and that the withdrawal of American troops from Europe is not currently on the agenda.
