Ukraine: We hit a Russian warship

As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, Ukraine keeps targeting the Russian navy in the Black Sea.

In a written statement issued by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, it was announced that a Russian "Project 22800 Karakurt" class corvette was hit in Sevastopol, Crimea, on the night of May 19.

The ministry also stated that Russian offensives in Dnipro, Kramatorsk, Andriivka, and Pokrovsk were repelled by Ukrainian forces.

Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk stated that the corvette in question was the "last cruise missile ship" stationed in Crimea, which Russia occupied in 2014. Pletenchuk noted that the corvette had never fired a cruise missile while in active service, adding that out of the 5 warships Russia built under the "Project 22800" program, 2 have been destroyed and 1 is currently in a shipyard.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had also announced on May 19 that a Russian Kovrovets-type minesweeper had been hit.
