UN Secretary-General Guterres condemns Israel's attack on camp in Rafah
UN Secretary-General Guterres has condemned the attack carried out by Israel on a camp in Rafah.
UN Secretary-General Guterres condemned the attack by the Israeli army last night on a camp for forcibly displaced Palestinians in the city of Rafah, stating, "This horror must end."
Guterres shared a message on his X social media account.
Stating that innocent civilians trying to escape the deadly conflict were killed as a result of the Israeli attack, Guterres condemned the strike.
Emphasizing that there is no safe place in Gaza, Guterres stated, "This horror must end."
Israel carried out an attack on May 26 on the tents of displaced Palestinians in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, where the International Court of Justice had issued a ruling to halt attacks, and it was announced that at least 40 Palestinians lost their lives in the strike.
Eyewitnesses said, "The Israeli army's bombardment caused many tents in the camp to collapse and burn. This camp is not located in the area that the Israeli army had ordered to be evacuated in the city of Rafah, where thousands of displaced Palestinians live."
Witnesses stated that Israeli warplanes attacked the camp with at least 8 rockets.
