United Nations adds Israel to 'list of shame'

Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip continue. The Israeli army, which has massacred thousands of civilians, most of them children, in the region, continues to violate humanitarian law despite the backlash.

While efforts to stop the attacks continue, the UN has taken another decision.

Israel has been added to the 'UN list of shame,' which is included in the annex of an annual report presented to the council by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres documenting violations of children's rights in armed conflicts.

In a statement regarding the decision, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, which is now included on the list that also features Russia, said, “The UN has joined the supporters of Hamas today, placing itself on the black list of history.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is the most moral army in the world, and no delusional decision by the UN will change that,” the statement read.

REACTION FROM ISRAEL TO GUTERRES

Israel's Permanent Representative to the UN, Gilad Erdan, said, “You know that the Israeli army is the most moral army in the world. This immoral decision will only reward Hamas.

The only one who was blacklisted today is the Secretary-General, who has been rewarding terrorists with his decisions since the war began and even before, encouraging them to use children in terrorist acts,” he said.

Reacting to Guterres, Erdan stated, “The Secretary-General's shameful decision will only prolong the war and increase suffering. Shame on him.”
