US and Israeli plan hits an Iraqi roadblock
The US and Israeli strategy to mobilize Kurdish forces against Iran has met with resistance following statements from Nechirvan Barzani. The KRG has clearly announced that it does not wish to be involved in the conflicts.
In recent days, allegations have appeared in the international press that the US and Israel are preparing a new plan targeting Iran. It has been claimed that the CIA and the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad aim to use Kurdish groups, particularly separatist organizations led by PJAK, in military operations against Iran.
It was reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is spearheading this plan, and that US President Donald Trump clarified these objectives during a phone call with leaders of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq.
It was also noted that six separate separatist organizations have come together under the leadership of PJAK to form a coalition and have announced their readiness for actions against Iran.
KRG: "WE WILL NOT BE PART OF THE WAR"
Following these developments, an important statement came from the KRG Prime Minister's office. The KRG emphasized that not a single Iraqi Kurd has crossed the Iranian border and stated that the related reports are baseless. The fact that the statement came immediately after the phone call with US President Trump was interpreted as the KRG not responding to the US desire to use Kurdish groups in the conflict.

KRG President Nechirvan Barzani stated, "We must not be part of any conflict or military tension that would endanger the lives and safety of our citizens." Barzani added, "Protecting the territorial integrity of the Kurdistan Region and our constitutional gains can only be achieved through the unity, harmony, and shared national responsibility of all political forces and components in Kurdistan."
US AND ISRAELI PLAN HITS AN IRAQI ROADBLOCK
Concerns persist that PJAK and its coalition will not be sufficient against Iran. It is alleged that Israel and the US are aware of these groups' deficiencies in terms of ammunition and training. Despite this, Western powers tend to view these groups as infantry forces.
The KRG, however, is firmly opposed to the country being drawn into a war. It is stated that this stance taken by the Iraqi Kurdish administration, particularly under the leadership of Nechirvan Barzani, poses a serious obstacle to the political and military plans of the US and Israel.
In light of these developments, it has once again become clear that Iraq is determined not to be involved in a possible conflict with its neighbor, Iran.
