US delivers humanitarian aid to Gaza by air for the 13th time
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it has delivered aid by air to northern Gaza for the 13th time to meet the basic needs of Palestinians.
In a written statement issued by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the following statement was used: "US Central Command conducted an airdrop of humanitarian assistance into Northern Gaza on March 17, 2024, at 12:06 p.m. local time to provide essential relief to civilians affected by the ongoing conflict."
The statement noted that the 13th air operation involved two US Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft and US soldiers specialized in the aerial delivery of humanitarian aid.
It was shared that the parachute-dropped aid packages contained at least 28,800 meal equivalents and 34,500 half-liter bottles of water.
The statement noted that the air drops, which the US carries out in partnership with other countries, are "aimed at alleviating human suffering" and that these efforts, which "enable civilians to access critical aid," will continue.
