US denies F-18 fighter jet was shot down by Iran
The US Central Command has denied Iran's claim that it shot down a US military F-18 fighter jet.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has denied the claim by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that a US F-18 fighter jet was shot down.
In a statement from CENTCOM, it was noted that the IRGC claimed to have shot down the US jet over Chabahar using new advanced air defense systems, and it was stated that "no US fighter jet has been shot down by Iran."
