US deploys 3rd aircraft carrier to the Middle East
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush has arrived in its area of responsibility. The USS George H.W. Bush is the third aircraft carrier the US has deployed to the Middle East.
Following the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Gerald R. Ford, which it used in attacks against Iran, the US has now deployed the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush to the Middle East.
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) shared a photograph of the ship, stating, "The USS George H.W. Bush is operating in the Indian Ocean within the United States Central Command area of responsibility on April 23."
The US had previously deployed the USS Gerald R. Ford to the Red Sea and the USS Abraham Lincoln to the Arabian Sea.
