US media: The US carried out the attacks on Iran

The US-based news channel Fox News has claimed that the explosions that occurred near the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island were the result of US attacks.

Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz continue to escalate following the explosions in Iran's Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island. In a report citing a US official, the US-based news channel Fox News alleged that the attacks on Iran were carried out by the US military despite the ceasefire between the parties. It was noted that the official indicated these attacks do not mean that the war has resumed.

Iranian state television had previously reported that Iran launched a missile attack on "enemy elements" in the Strait of Hormuz region due to the US military's interference with an Iranian oil tanker. The report stated, "Enemy forces were forced to flee after sustaining damage."

Following the incident, various claims had surfaced. Israeli sources, in statements to the local press, claimed that the Tel Aviv administration had no connection to the explosions in Iran. Some sources, meanwhile, alleged that United Arab Emirates (UAE) fighter jets had targeted a portion of the commercial sections of the Bahman Pier on Qeshm Island.
