US officials asked about the death of FETÖ ringleader
US officials avoided commenting on the death of FETÖ terrorist organization ringleader Fethullah Gülen.
US State Department Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel was asked about Gülen's death during the daily press briefing.
Patel brushed off the question, stating, "I have seen the reports, but I have nothing to offer. I do not comment on matters concerning private individuals residing in the US."
According to AA, White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby also responded to a question during an online press briefing regarding whether there had been any communication between Washington and Ankara concerning the death of the FETÖ ringleader, saying, "Nothing at this time."
