US port workers' strike suspended until January
The International Longshoremen's Association (ILA), which was involved in the strike at US East and Gulf Coast ports, has reached a tentative agreement to suspend the strike until January 15.
Port workers returned to work as of Friday morning, October 4, and the parties will continue to work on a comprehensive labor contract until the deadline in January.
The ILA strike had affected major ports along the coast, creating disruptions in supply chains.
