US President Biden on 'shrinkflation': 'What makes me the angriest...'
US President Joe Biden shared a video highlighting the concept of "shrinkflation," a term that has become part of daily life in Turkey after being brought to the agenda by economist Mahfi Eğilmez.
US President Joe Biden, in a video filmed for the Super Bowl, accused food companies of shrinking products while keeping prices the same.
In the video, Biden emphasized "shrinkflation" and accused companies of fraud, stating, "The American people are tired of being played for fools."
Biden said, "Some companies are trying to pull a fast one by shrinking the products little by little and hoping you won't notice," and continued as follows:
"Sports drink bottles have gotten smaller, there are fewer chips in the bags. As an ice cream lover, what makes me the angriest is that the ice cream containers have shrunk."
