US President Trump met with Zelenskyy at the White House

US President Donald Trump held a closed-door meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who arrived in the US for the funeral of Senatör Lindsey Graham.

Following the meeting, which lasted approximately one hour, Zelenskyy stated in a post on his social media account, "We had a productive meeting with US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

I thanked him for everything we have done together to protect the lives of Ukrainians and to advance peace. First and foremost, I conveyed our condolences to President Trump on the passing of Lindsey Graham. Graham was a true friend of Ukraine," he said.

Zelenskyy added, "We discussed with President Trump licenses for the production of Patriot missiles and some other proposals that could be beneficial. We also addressed the issue of diplomacy. Revitalizing the diplomatic process is of great importance. Our teams will determine the details of future contacts. I am grateful to the US for its resolute support."

The Ukrainian press, meanwhile, had reported in news regarding the meeting that the two leaders were also expected to discuss a proposal for an air ceasefire to be presented to the Russian side.

Following Zelenskyy, US President Trump moved on to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. Both Zelenskyy and Netanyahu are expected to attend the funeral service for Lindsey Graham to be held later today at the Washington National Cathedral.
