US President Trump: We are doing extremely well in Iran

US President Donald Trump spoke at a ceremony at the White House where the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy was presented to the US Naval Academy's football team. At the award ceremony, which is given annually to the winner of the college football games between the Army, Navy, and Air Force academies, Trump began his speech with remarks regarding the attacks on Iran. Trump said, "We are doing extremely well in Iran. The difference between them and us is that two weeks ago they had a navy, now they don't. They are all at the bottom of the sea. 58 ships were destroyed in two days."

Trump stated, "We are doing really well. We will not allow them to have nuclear weapons. Because if they had them, they would use them. This will not be allowed. This should have actually been done much earlier, by previous presidents."

Arguing that Iran is in a position where it cannot be aware of what is happening, and that its air force, air defense systems, and radars have been destroyed, Trump said, "All their leaders are dead. They have no leaders anymore. No one in Iran wants to be a leader anymore. We want to talk to them, but there is no one to talk to. That's why we are struggling. There is no one we can talk to."

Claiming that the US military has demonstrated its capabilities in Iran over the last few weeks, Trump said, "I don't want to exaggerate, but there is no struggle here. A struggle cannot be mentioned. Iran has a significant amount of good equipment. They have plenty of Russian and Chinese-made equipment, but it didn't work against us."

"I am proud of what I did (in Venezuela)"

While talking about the capabilities of the American military, Trump also touched upon the operation against Venezuela, pointing to the abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro from the country, and stated, "We demonstrated this by taking over Venezuela in minutes. We put someone who was protected by thousands of people and secured by iron gates into a helicopter. For us, those gates were like plastic."

In his remarks regarding Venezuela, Trump used the phrase, "I am proud of what I did."
