US President Donald Trump reacted sharply to the G20 Summit to be held in South Africa this year, describing the event as "a total disgrace" and stating, "As long as human rights violations continue, no US government official will attend the meeting."
US President Donald Trump made striking remarks regarding the G20 Summit scheduled to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on November 22-23. In a message posted on his social media platform, Truth, Trump criticized the summit being held in South Africa, calling it "a total disgrace."
"A TOTAL DISGRACE" REACTION
In his post, Trump alleged that violence is being perpetrated against white people in South Africa, stating, "Afrikaners (descendants of Dutch settlers and French and German immigrants) are being killed and slaughtered, and their land and farms are being illegally seized. As long as these human rights violations continue, no US government official will attend the meeting."
MIAMI MESSAGE FOR THE 2026 SUMMIT
At the end of his statement, Trump also added that he looks forward to hosting the 2026 G20 Summit in Miami, Florida, in the United States.
