US provides $3.5 billion in military aid to Israel

A spokesperson for the US Department of State announced on Friday that the Department of State had notified the US Congress that the American government would release billions of dollars in foreign military financing for Israel.

US media reported that the aid in question would be provided within the framework of the $14 billion military aid package approved by the US Congress in April. It is noteworthy that the military financial aid comes months after the relevant aid package was passed by the US Congress, at a time when tensions in the Middle East are escalating and Israel is anticipating an attack from Iran and Hezbollah.

On August 8, the US also announced that it had sent 22 F-22 Raptor fighter jets to the region to contribute to Israel's defense due to the tension between Iran and Israel.

According to statements by Palestinian officials, approximately 40 thousand Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, have lost their lives in Gaza as a result of Israel's military attacks since October 7, and approximately 2.3 million people, making up almost the entire population of Gaza, have been displaced.
