US Secretary of Defense Austin meets with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to a written statement from the US Department of Defense, Secretary Austin met with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue, one of the most important security forums in the Asia-Pacific region, held in Singapore.
During the meeting, Austin reiterated the United States' full support for Ukraine against Russia's attacks.
Austin also provided an update on his country's security assistance to meet Ukraine's needs and emphasized their commitment to providing support to help Ukraine "defend its freedom."
Furthermore, the two sides committed to further strengthening the strategic defense partnership between the US and Ukraine.
