According to reports in the US press citing unnamed military officials, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has summoned admirals and generals serving around the world to a meeting next week in the city of Quantico, located in the US state of Virginia.
The reason for Hegseth calling generals and admirals to a single location on such short notice, as well as the number of attendees, is not yet known.
Pentagon Spokesperson Sean Parnell left questions regarding the meeting unanswered, stating, "The Secretary of War will address senior military leaders early next week."
