US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that the Rafah Border Crossing between Egypt and Gaza will reopen following his visit to Egypt.
Blinken, made a press statement following his visit to Egypt. Stating that he had a very good meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Blinken said that Egypt has provided significant aid to the people of Gaza.
"The Rafah Border Crossing will reopen." said Blinken, adding that a mechanism would be established with the United Nations (UN), Egypt, Israel, and other countries to ensure aid reaches Gaza.
"US Special Envoy for Middle East Humanitarian Issues" Stating that Ambassador David Satterfield, who was appointed to the post yesterday, is also focusing on this, Blinken shared the information that "He will be on the ground tomorrow to coordinate the technical details."
