The next stops for US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who has traveled to Saudi Arabia for diplomatic talks, have been confirmed.
In a statement from the US Department of State, it was reported that Blinken will visit Jordan and Israel as part of his Middle East tour, which will continue until Wednesday. It was stated that Blinken, who is expected to address efforts toward the release of hostages in Gaza and the establishment of a ceasefire, will emphasize the importance of maintaining the increase in humanitarian aid delivered to the region.
The statement included the following: “The Secretary will also emphasize the importance of preventing the conflict from spreading and will discuss ongoing efforts to achieve lasting peace and security in the region, including a path to an independent Palestinian state with security guarantees for Israel.”
FIRST STOP SAUDI ARABIA
It had been previously stated that Blinken, whose first stop on his Middle East tour was Saudi Arabia, would attend the Gulf Cooperation Council Ministerial Meeting and the World Economic Forum’s special meeting on global collaboration, growth, and energy for development.
