US Secretary of State Rubio: Government in Syria could collapse within weeks
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the transitional government in Syria could collapse within weeks.
Rubio's statement is as follows:
"Frankly, given the challenges the transitional administration is facing, we assess that we are perhaps not months, but weeks away from a potential collapse and a full-scale civil war of massive proportions, and the fragmentation of the country."
On the other hand, Rubio stated that they lifted sanctions on Syria to prevent this situation from occurring.
