US Special Envoy Barrack: Reports that the US is encouraging Syria are baseless

As tensions rise in the region amid conflicts between Iran, the US, and Israel, US Ambassador to Ankara and Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack has issued a statement regarding allegations directed at Syria and the US.

Barrack categorically denied reports in the international press suggesting that the US is encouraging Syria to send troops to the region to support the disarmament of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Emphasizing that the reports in question do not reflect the truth, Barrack stated, "Reports that the US is encouraging Syria to send troops to Lebanon are false and baseless."

Congratulates Erbil and Baghdad governments on oil agreement

Barrack also touched upon the agreement reached between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi central government regarding the transport of the country's oil to Turkey via Northern Iraq.

Congratulating the Erbil and Baghdad administrations, Barrack noted that the parties have taken a critical step toward maintaining energy exports and increasing regional prosperity.

In his message, Barrack stated, "I thank Erbil and Baghdad for reaching an agreement to restart energy exports and increase the region's prosperity during this critical period.

Your courage, determined cooperation, and commitment to diplomacy are extremely valuable. The US is fully committed to supporting these efforts during this period of crisis."
