US Vice President Vance says 'war will not last forever'
Holding a press conference at the White House and answering questions from journalists, Vance said, "This is not a war that will last forever," when asked how long the conflict would continue.
US Vice President JD Vance reiterated his "red line" that Iran must not possess nuclear weapons and stated that neither Trump nor Tehran wants the resumption of US military operations.
Vance said that progress has been made in peace negotiations with Iran, but warned that if an agreement cannot be reached to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons, the conflict could resume.
He emphasized that the ball is in Iran's court and that the US is prepared to strike Iran again.
US President Donald Trump also announced in his statement yesterday that he had postponed the military strike planned against Iran for Tuesday at the request of Gulf countries because "serious negotiations are currently underway."
