Firefighting and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the scene and worked to bring the blaze under control. As a result of the fire, 6 workers lost their lives, while 25 others were injured.
South Korean Acting President Choi Sang-mok ordered the mobilization of all available resources to extinguish the fire.
