Mexico stands up for Gaza: Cut all ties with Israel

Thousands of people in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico have raised their voices against Israel's ongoing attacks on Gaza. Messages of support for Palestine took center stage during the simultaneous protest marches held in the three countries.

Demonstrators gathered in Brazil's metropolis, Sao Paulo, marched through the city square carrying Palestinian flags and placards condemning Israel's attacks. The protesters called on President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to "sever diplomatic relations with Israel."

Numerous non-governmental organizations and members of parliament also supported the action. Participants brought the humanitarian crisis in Gaza to the agenda and called on the international community to take action.

Similar scenes unfolded in Santiago, the capital of Chile. Hundreds of people marched with Palestinian flags, demanding that Israel end its attacks on Gaza. Chilean protesters also demanded that President Gabriel Boric "sever diplomatic ties with Israel."

In Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, a large group held a march to ensure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

As the demonstrators moved toward the city center with their banners, they frequently chanted slogans protesting Israel.

The activists emphasized that the international community must take action to end the ongoing brutality as soon as possible.
