Passenger plane crashes in Afghanistan! 4 crew, 6 people...

A passenger plane belonging to India has crashed in the Badakhshan province in northeastern Afghanistan. While India denied the claims, a statement from Russia reported that the plane was registered in Russia.

According to reports in the Afghan press, Zabihullah Amiri, the Director of Culture and Information for Badakhshan Province, announced in a statement to the press that a passenger plane belonging to India had crashed into the Tophaka Mountains, located between the Kuran-wa-Munjan and Zibak districts.

Amiri noted that a search and rescue team had been dispatched to the region where the accident occurred in the morning hours.

INDIA DENIED

A denial came from India regarding the statement made by Afghanistan that the passenger plane belonged to India.

The Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation announced on its social media account that the plane did not belong to India. The statement said, "The unfortunate plane crash that occurred in Afghanistan is neither a scheduled flight nor a non-scheduled (charter) aircraft belonging to India."

STATEMENT FROM RUSSIA

The Russian Aviation Authority announced in a statement that the plane had disappeared from radar over Afghanistan yesterday evening while traveling from Uzbekistan to Moscow. The statement indicated that the Russian-registered plane was a French-made Falcon 10 and that, according to initial findings, there were 6 people on board, including 4 crew members.
