Police raid on Gold Apollo, manufacturer of pagers detonated by Israel
Gold Apollo, the company whose devices were detonated by Israel via remote signal, injuring 4,000 Hezbollah members, has been raided by police in Taiwan.
Following the simultaneous pager explosions in Lebanon yesterday evening that left 4,000 Hezbollah members injured, attention has turned to the company Gold Apollo. Once it was determined that the devices, which were triggered by a remote signal, were Gold Apollo products, an investigation was launched into the firm.
Taiwanese police raided the Gold Apollo company. According to a Reuters report, law enforcement officers entered the Gold Apollo headquarters in Taiwan's capital, Taipei, and examined various documents and computers.
'WE DID NOT MAKE THESE DEVICES'
Appearing before cameras following the police raid, Gold Apollo founder Hsu Ching-kuang claimed to reporters that the company did not manufacture the pagers that resulted in 9 deaths and over 4,000 injuries. Hsu stated, "Look at the photos from Lebanon. There are no markings on them saying 'Made in Taiwan'; we did not make these pagers."
