18 people were injured when a Delta Air Lines CRJ-900 passenger plane carrying 80 people flipped over while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Canadian authorities noted that 'extreme' weather conditions were observed in the region prior to the accident. It was stated that 4 of the 18 people injured in the accident are in critical condition.

The moment the plane, which arrived from Minneapolis, USA, and was carrying 76 passengers and 4 crew members, caught fire seconds after touching down on the runway and flipped over after sliding for a while was captured on camera. Toronto Pearson Fire Chief Todd Aitken stated that the runway was dry and there were no 'crosswind' conditions.

While passengers were evacuated through emergency exits, 18 people were injured in the accident, 4 of them seriously. Extreme weather conditions were cited as the reason for the plane flipping over after landing. Canadian media pointed out that strong winds were effective in the region during the incident.
