Violent explosion near historic market in Damascus
In the Syrian capital of Damascus, a violent explosion at a cafe on the road leading to the historic Al-Hamidiyah Souq has left four people dead and 10 injured, according to initial reports.
Four people were killed and 10 others were injured in an explosion at a cafe near the Palace of Justice on Al-Nasr Street.
According to a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Health reported by the official news agency SANA, the four people who lost their lives and the 10 injured in the explosion at the entrance of a cafe operating between the Hejaz Railway and the Palace of Justice on Al-Nasr Street were taken to Al-Mujtahid Hospital.
Footage shared on social media showed that the cafe was damaged by the explosion and that there were injured people in the surrounding area.
