What did Biden say about the possibility of all-out war in the Middle East? 'A full-scale war...'
Assessing the possibility of a war breaking out between Israel and other countries, Biden stated that he does not foresee an all-out war.
US President Joe Biden spoke about the possibility of a 'Greater Middle East War,' which has been debated following Iran's strike on Israel. Biden stated that he does not expect an all-out war.
President Biden responded to questions from reporters at the White House regarding Israel's attacks on Lebanon.
When asked if he was confident that an all-out war in the Middle East could be prevented, Biden said, 'I don't believe there's going to be an all-out war. I think we can avoid it.'
President Biden added that a potential full-scale war could be avoided, but that there is 'a lot to do' to achieve that.
Regarding a question on whether American forces would be sent to assist Israel, Biden said the US is already helping Israel and used the phrase, 'We're going to protect Israel.'
Biden's remarks came after the ballistic missiles Iran launched at Israel on October 1.

IRAN'S BALLISTIC MISSILE ATTACK
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported on October 1 that a missile attack had been carried out against Israel, which it said targeted Iran's 'national security.' It was stated that the attack was in retaliation for Israeli strikes that killed Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and Iranian Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan.
Iranian state television announced that approximately 200 missiles were fired at Israel and that hypersonic Fattah-1 missiles were used for the first time.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also said that Iran had 'made a big mistake' with the missile attack and that 'it will pay the price.'
