A White House National Security Council spokesperson stated in a written response to an AA reporter that they reject the ICC's decision.

The U.S. spokesperson stated, "The United States fundamentally rejects the Court's decision to issue arrest warrants for senior Israeli officials."

Arguing that the ICC lacks jurisdiction regarding Israel, the spokesperson noted that they will coordinate with Israel and other partners regarding the next steps.

In its decision announced today, the ICC stated that it had issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant for "war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza."
