White House reaffirms support for F-16s to Turkey
John Kirby, the White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, has once again stated that the U.S. administration supports the sale of F-16 fighter jets to Turkey.
John Kirby evaluated the phone call between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and U.S. President Joe Biden during a press briefing at the White House.
F-16 SUPPORT
Kirby noted that the two leaders discussed the current situation in Gaza and the Israeli-Palestinian issue, as well as Sweden's NATO membership process.
Commenting on the U.S. sale of F-16s to Turkey, Kirby stated, "We continue to support the modernization program for the F-16s (for Turkey)."
