White House: Talks with Iran are going well

White House Press Secretary Leavitt stated that talks with Iran are ongoing and progressing positively, while noting that some U.S. demands have been accepted in private discussions.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the negotiations being conducted with Iran are continuing and that the process is moving forward positively.

Leavitt stated that public statements and messages conveyed privately to the U.S. may differ, adding that all topics raised by Iran in private discussions will be closely monitored and tested.

Touching on the cost of the war, Leavitt said that U.S. President Donald Trump may call on Arab countries to provide support for the financing of the war.

Evaluating the Strait of Hormuz, the White House Press Secretary emphasized that the U.S. opposes Iran charging fees to ships passing through the strait. She noted that approximately 20 oil tankers are expected to pass through the strait in the coming days.

Regarding the duration of the ongoing war with Iran, Leavitt stated that the previously projected four-to-six-week timeline remains valid.

On the other hand, Leavitt expressed that Iran has accepted some of the U.S.'s demands in private talks and that diplomatic contacts are continuing.

Additionally, Leavitt added that cabinet members are expected to travel to China ahead of Trump's visit to the country.
