The World Health Organization (WHO) has released data regarding the mpox virus, which continues to have an impact in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The WHO stated that 581 people have lost their lives since the beginning of the year.

Pointing to the scale of the outbreak in the country, the statement recorded that mpox has been detected in 12 thousand 569 people.
The statement emphasized that mpox cases have been reported in 22 of the country's 26 provinces, including the capital.
