Will a nuclear deal be made between the US and Iran? Trump's statement on reconciliation
'Nuclear' negotiations between Iran and the US could resume. Making a statement on the matter, Trump indicated that the two countries could reach an agreement.
US President Donald Trump expressed that a new nuclear deal with Iran could be possible. Emphasizing that 'a lot of effort must be put in' for an agreement, Trump stated that if detailed negotiations were to begin, they could reach a deal with Iran 'within a week.'
Giving an interview to Sean Hannity on the American channel Fox News, Trump made assessments regarding Iran.
Stating that Iran is 'engaging in harmful actions' in the Middle East and that they will prevent this, Trump emphasized that they will take all kinds of measures in this regard.
The new US President made the following assessment on the subject:
'I want the Iranians to have a great country, they have great potential, their people are incredible. The only thing I say about Iran is that they cannot have a nuclear weapon. If the deal is prepared properly, there are ways to be absolutely sure that Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon.'

US President Donald Trump had previously stated that he could target Iran's nuclear facilities. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denies that the country has an active nuclear armament program
''I WOULD HAVE REACHED A DEAL WITH IRAN WITHIN A WEEK''
In response to a question, Trump emphasized that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons. The US President also argued that if he had won the 2020 election, he 'could have made a nuclear deal with Iran within a week and completely kept this country away from nuclear weapons,' but that the Joe Biden administration could not manage this process.
Opening the door to a new nuclear deal with Iran on the condition that its terms are carefully negotiated, Trump underlined that they might need to perform '10 verifications' for such an agreement.
Noting that if Iran were to possess a nuclear weapon, many other countries would also want to have nuclear weapons and that this would be a 'disaster,' Trump emphasized that they do not want Tehran to possess nuclear weapons in any way.
