Will Israel and Palestine sign a 4-month ceasefire?

While Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip have continued since October 7, the US-based Wall Street Journal newspaper has claimed that a new ceasefire plan is being prepared between Israel and Palestine.

EXCHANGE AGREEMENT 

In the report, which cites Egyptian officials, it is alleged that Egypt is working on a ceasefire plan of approximately 4 months between Israel and Palestine that includes the release of all hostages, and it is claimed that the ceasefire would last for 6 weeks in the first phase of the plan. The report states that during the 6-week ceasefire, Israeli women, children, and the elderly in the Gaza Strip would be released, and in return, Israel would release Palestinian prisoners and allow for an increase in the flow of aid to the Gaza Strip.

INTERNATIONAL GUARANTEES WILL BE OBTAINED

The report further states that the next phase of the plan includes Hamas releasing Israeli soldiers and returning the bodies of those who died in the Gaza Strip to Israel. It is noted that Hamas would receive international guarantees, including from the US, which would pave the way for a comprehensive agreement that would ultimately end the attacks on the Gaza Strip.
